Art Lucas, president of Lucas Properties, spent his early life in coastal McIntosh County, Georgia. After a tour as a commissioned U.S. Army Junior officer and a brief work stint in New York, Art began his business career in Atlanta and formed the Lucas Group, an executive search and recruiting firm which he developed into an international company. After selling that business, he returned to the Georgia coast and began a second career, immersing himself in the commercial real estate industry. As a tenant who leased office space throughout the United States and overseas for his own company, Art thoroughly understands tenant needs and requirements and thinks like his customers. He is using his past experience and knowledge to develop quality office buildings for tenants who expect the best. His latest project, Oaks on The River located on the Darien waterfront included a 12 unit condominium and 10 slip dock both of which quickly sold out. As part of that development The Oaks on The River Luxury Boutique Resort features 53 elegantly furnished rooms, a spa, exercise facility, an outdoor pool & bar and an outstanding restaurant & bar overlooking the Darien River.
Art is also actively engaged in the community having served on multiple boards. Along with the College of Coastal Georgia, he recently established the The Lucas Center for Entrepreneurship which provides resources and support to aspiring entrepreneurs.
Jen Hatcher's background includes real estate office management, and experience in the pharmaceutical and construction industries. She has an extensive background with over 20 years experience in executive administration, human resources, project management and customer service. Jen handles leases and tenant relations as well as insurance and human resources.
Louise Hooper works in the financial and marketing areas for Lucas Properties. As a real estate broker, she has worked in the commercial real estate industry for over 39 years in leasing, sales and administration. Originally from Atlanta, she began her real estate career in Dallas, Texas as a leasing agent for shopping centers and small office complexes, and later specialized in the sale of hotels. During this time she also partnered in a hotel and restaurant on Interstate 70 in Kansas.
